Hi Jackie! Have a 3yr old son, traveling to WDW in Nov with hubby and in-laws.How early can we get to the parks?Staying at All Star Movie, what time should we leave hotel to get to parks? Any suggestions on how to accomodate naps, grandparents & hubby

    Hi Josona!

November in Walt Disney World is wonderful - the weather is cool and preparations for the Holiday season are in full swing!  A Times Guide will be given to you that will list opening times for each park or you may check the calendars on the official Disney World website.  A bus is supposed to come by every 20 minutes for each park and the actual travel time to the parks is 23 minutes to the Magic Kingdom, 22 minutes to Animal Kingdom, 20 minutes to Epcot and only 18 minutes to Hollywood Studios.  Need more travel info?  Be sure to check out the Transportation Wizard on OurLaughingPlace.com - it can compute the quickest route anywhere on property!

Traveling with a larger party can be a little tricky, but sooo much fun.  Why not have a "planing party" and have everyone select their "must sees" by checking out sites such AllEarsNet.com.  This way, once you arrive, everyone can feel like they had a part in the planning process - even your little man!  Also, you may want to ask your in-laws if they would like to spend the entire trip together with you, or if they would prefer to split up once in a while.  Just guessing, but they will probably find Epcot to be the most appealing park and may want to spend a little extra time there while the three of you explore the other spots with your son.

At three years old, my boys would usually just pass out in the stroller and wake up refreshed and ready for more!  However, you can also hop on the bus and let him catch a few zzz's in your room.  Perhaps you and your husband could take turns with "nap duty" each day and let the other one have some peaceful time alone.  Who knows, maybe your in-laws will even offer to do this???  Have a fabulous trip!

    Much pixie dust,

    Jackie S.
