When an item is purchased using a magic band is it charged to that credit card immediately, or charged later? Also, can you assign different credit cards to different magic bands or does the same reservation have to be under one magic band

Hi Belinda! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are going to love using your MagicBands to make purchases...it's SUPER convenient!

When you use your MagicBands for purchases, the amount of the transaction may be placed in a pending or hold status as soon as the transaction is authorized. I found that our charges posted almost immediately, but It depends on how your specific bank/ financial institution posts the transactions. When you checkout you will receive a complete purchase history of everything charged to the card as well.

You can assign different credit cards to individual MagicBands when you check into your resort. Initially you can put one credit card for the room. When we arrived, my husband allotted $25 for our children's MagicBands and full charging capability for us.  In the past we've used Disney gift cards, but having MagicBands made it so much easier for them this time! I LOVE our MagicBands!

Wishing you a magical and memorable Disney vacation!
