We are interested in touring some of the resorts with our 2 yr old grandson. Can you give me any advice about some that have interesting things for him to see. I know about the All stars but looking for some other interesting things. Thanks

    Hi Diane,

Great idea! My family loves visiting the various Disney resorts, and even though we have now stayed at almost all of them, we still visit a few every trip.

The All-Star and Pop Century resorts are a great deal of fun due to the unique theming at each property. Your grandson will get a kick out of the oversized sports equipment, musical instruments, and more. The properties are whimsical, colorful and very kid friendly. Another resort to be sure to visit is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The resort has such a peaceful feel with a great touch of Africa, and the view of the animals on property is amazing from almost any spot throughout the resort. Head straight out the back of the resort to the overlook for some up-close views of these beautiful creatures.

One of our favorites to visit is the resort area behind Epcot, or specifically the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club resorts. You can walk to the properties from Hollywood Studios or the rear entrance to Epcot and hit all three in the same stroll. The area has a great waterfront feel and there is a fantastic soda shop at the Beach Club (Beaches n Cream) just perfect for an evening snack. The Boardwalk has a number of shops and restaurant and features free entertainment (magicians, jugglers, & comedians) in the evenings.

Don't forget a visit to the Magic Kingdom resort area. The Contemporary is my boys favorite place to visit. They love to watch the monorail glide in and out of the building, plus an added bonus is a meal at Chef Mickey's. This is also my favorite resort gift shop on property. Lastly is Fort Wilderness. This large resort is half campgrounds and half cabins. Here guests can take a horseback ride or wagon trip or stop in nightly for the free Chip-n-Dale Campfire and movie night.

Hope this gets you started on your resort hopping way. Have a great time!
