    Dawn from MA Asked

We are only interested in making 2 FPass+ selections at HS before we leave for our trip. Toy Story Mania in Tier 1, and Tower of Terror in Tier 2. Can we then go to a kiosk in the park after using the 2nd FP and get another for Toy Story if they available?

    Hi Dawn,

You've stumbled into a bit of a loophole in the FastPass+ system. It is possible to hold just two pre-selected FastPass+, but you have to do this on a computer, not a phone or tablet.

Both the computer version of My Disney Experience and the MDE app automatically give you 3 FP+ per day, even if you only want two. On the computer, you can go in and cancel the extraneous one, but you can't to this on the app. If you've created just one or two FP+ selections on the computer (by canceling extras), you can't later go in and add without first canceling the existing selections. (The system really wants every guest to have three FP+ to start with.)

However, if you do create one or two FP+ on the computer and then use them (which is what you're suggesting), you force yourself into the same category at guests who have used all three of their FP+. This means that you can then make as many in-park selections as you want. This also negates some of the rules about hopping and the tiers at Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. So if, for example, you make Toy Story and Tower of Terror FP+ and then use them, you could then go to an in-park kiosk and make another FP+ for Toy Story, assuming availability. You could also run over to Epcot and make a FP+ for Soarin. This would not normally be possible until a guest had used three FP+ selections.

This is a bit of a trick move, and it's always possible that Disney will change the system. But I have done this myself in October 2014, so it did work at that time.

Please let us know if you have additional questions. We're happy to help.
