Interested to know if two Senior adults can share one dinner or do we each have to get our own family style dinner at $31.99 each? Was hoping to just share. Thanks for getting back to me. Going in 8 days!

If are not on the Disney Dining Plan and you are ordering at a regular menu-based table service restaurant, you would be welcome to share an entree, or to order anything else you'd like from the menu.

However, meals served family style are a bit different. At Walt Disney World, meals served family style are all-you-care-to-eat venues. For example, I dined at the Garden Grill at Epcot with my daughters a few weeks ago. At this family style restaurant, our server brought us out platters of steak, turkey, fish and yummy veggies. As we needed more, the server kept refilling the platters. Since there is no way to regulate how much each individual at the table is eating, if two people are eating from the platters, it would be as if two were eating unlimited food for the price of one. Similarly, if you are dining at a buffet-style meal, everyone eating will have to purchase the meal.

But as I said, at a normal menu-based venue, you and your companion could order anything you want and share. Just two nights ago, I was at the Brown Derby at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I split an appetizer and entree with my daughter. This was absolutely permissible.

Enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World.
