Hi Moms! I intend to purchase a MYW pkg with 4d park tickets when 2020 dates are out. We will do 2 nights at POFQ then transfer to POP. The MYW pkg will be at POP, which we will stay 5 nights. Can we begin to use our park tickets while we are at POFQ?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ashley! With dozens of fantastic hotels at Walt Disney World Resort, sometimes the hardest part of planning your vacation is deciding where to stay! I think a "Split Stay" is a fantastic idea, and I've done it before myself. You've asked an excellent question, so let's dive into the details.

The tricky part of your situation is that with a split stay, you will need to book two separate reservations. Because you would prefer to have your Vacation Package tied to your second reservation, you won't be able to use your theme park tickets until the day you check into Disney's Pop Century Resort. If your vacation is flexible, you may want to consider changing the order of your reservations and stay at Pop Century Resort at the beginning of your trip. The 4-day tickets expire seven days after the selected start date, so you would have time to spread your Parks days out during your Split Stay.

Another idea is to make your days at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter resort days. I always build in time during all of our Walt Disney World vacations to just stay and hang out at our resort. And Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter has lots of fun recreational activities such as the Doubloon Lagoon Pool, the Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, Painting on de' Bayou at Scat Cat's Club, and Cajun Campfire Activities. I'd also highly recommend taking the Sassagoula River Cruise from your resort to visit Disney Springs!

Remember, one of the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is that Bell Services will take care of transferring your luggage to your second resort, so you can head straight to the Parks after you check out of your first resort. I hope you enjoy your split stay, Ashley!
