I intend to charge everything and all meals to my magic band (no dining plan) and pay it with a gift card before checkout. Are there any charges to the magic band that could not be paid with a gift card?

    Hello Jessica!
I have used a MagicBand to charge all my meals when I was staying at a Walt Disney World Resort and payed off the balance with Disney Gift Cards. This was a very easy and seamless process but it did have a few things that I needed to be aware of. The first thing is that you will need to have a credit or debit card attached to your room reservation to enable charging to your Walt Disney World Resort room and you will need to create a PIN number to input when you scan your MagicBand when charging your meals. Also if you desire to pay off your balance with Disney Gift Cards, then you need to stop by the front desk at your resort every 24 to 48 hours and pay the existing balance with your Disney Gift Card or else your credit or debit card that is on your room will automatically charged the existing balance every 48 hours or if you reach a certain credit limit (for example every $500.00 of charges). I typically pay the existing balance every day or day and a half to avoid the existing balance being transferred to my credit card. You should definitely not wait until the end of your stay to pay your balance off if you want to pay your balance off with a Disney Gift Card. I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
