My in-laws want to take a family vacation to Disney World next May. My children will only be 3 years old and 14 months and I think that they will still be too young to be able to enjoy the experience. Any advice?

    Hi Jennifer,

Welcome to the Moms Panel, and thanks so much for your question.  This is a very common concern for families considering a trip to Walt Disney World with little ones in tow.  I'll be honest, our best and easiest vacations were when our children were toddlers and pre-schoolers.

I will tell you wholeheartedly that there is plenty for them to enjoy, and the simple fact that you get dedicated family time (without the stress of work, dishes, laundry, chores) makes these vacations priceless.

What I loved about our vacations with the little ones was that they couldn't read the park maps, they had no expectations, they simply enjoyed being there..  We were able to set our own pace, we didn't try to see everything.  We simply, well...kept it simple.  Rest when they are tired, break when they are cranky, swim when they are hot.

You'll hear people tell you they won't remember it, and maybe that is true -- but you will.  My kids still enjoy going through the photos of our past vacations when they were little, and hearing the stories that go along with them.

So I will always say GO, take that vacation...they are only little for a short period.  Enjoy!
