If we have an infant and a 4 year old and both parents want to go on a ride, can each parent take a turn with the 4 year old?

    Hi Leah!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited to help you plan your trip to Walt Disney World Resort. You are going to have a magical vacation with your little ones enjoying all of the attractions, entertainment and Character Experiences at each of the theme parks! My boys are a few years apart and my oldest always wants to enjoy attractions that my youngest isn't quite tall enough for. Thankfully, the Rider Switch system allows adults and taller children to enjoy all of the attractions they are interested in, even when vacationing with little ones!

When using Rider Switch, simply head to the attraction queue entrance with your entire group, including the baby, and explain to the Cast Member that you would like to use Rider Switch. The adult and your older child will the enter the queue and receive a Rider Switch lanyard, which will eventually be traded for a Rider Switch ticket, while your infant and the other adult are free to enjoy other parts of the theme park. When my youngest was an infant, I liked to use this time to head to the Baby Care Center for a meal and diaper change in the air conditioning!

After the first adult and your oldest enjoy the attraction, they can meet up with the other adult and your little one. At this point, the adult who didn't ride can take the Rider Swap ticket and your oldest child and head back to the attraction to enjoy it using the FastPass+ queue, while the adult who already rode and the infant can enjoy other areas in the theme park!

Let us know if you have other questions as you continue planning your trip with your little ones. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
