are infant floats allowed in resort pools?

Hello, Cheryl!  Scheduling some pool time into your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is a smart decision. Many guests take the resort pool into account when booking their vacation- myself included!

The good news is that there are no specific prohibitions against personal floatation devices at the Disney pools, but the Cast Member I spoke with said they should be Coast Guard approved.  I've heard that if your raft interferes with other guests, then you may be asked to remove it from the pool.  However, it seems to me that the infant pool float you are referring to should not pose a problem.  My boys usually bring pool toys including water balls into the pool, and this has not been an issue for us either.  If you decide that there's not enough room in your suitcase for the float, know that all the Walt Disney World Resorts stock a supply of life vests right next to the pool (they even carry sizes for infants and toddlers under 30 lbs).  If you have older kiddos, Cast Members host poolside activities each afternoon, which include contests, games, chalk art, and dance parties.

So, follow Dory's advice to, "Just keep swimming!"  And stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for some magical events scheduled to happen at Walt Disney World this yEAR!

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
