Hi moms, I'm wondering is it possible to complete Sorcerers of the MK while touring the park or is it best to just plan a visit and concentrate on finishing the challenge? Will be at MK numerous times during our stay! Thanks for your help

    Hi Lisa!

My son and I love playing the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom together!  There are 4 areas or lands where the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom takes place in the Magic Kingdom (Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Liberty Square). You are partnering with Merlin the Magician to defeat some Disney villains and find the four shards to reassemble the Crystal of the Magic Kingdom.  There are 5 portals in each of the four areas or lands.  You have to defeat a villain in a land to find one of the four shards and it takes visiting 4 to 5 portals to defeat one villain so it does take a bit of time to defeat a villain.  There are multiple levels to this incredible game so once you have defeated all of the villains, you can play again and the difficultly increases along with your sorcerer spell casting powers.  You can play this game while touring a land and going on rides, but I I have found it more beneficial to spend an hour or two concentrating on finishing off a land before resuming touring.  You can also stop at any point in the game and then resume where you left off as long as you use the same key card to resume playing (just scan your key card at any portal and it will direct you which portal to go to--either the portal that you last played at or the next one that you need to go to).  You can dedicate an hour or two each day that you you visit the Magic Kingdom if you are planning on going to the Magic Kingdom multiple times during your vacation.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is filled with incredible memories and magic!
