I'm wondering about dining options; if I choose the one sit down, one quick meal & snack package, am I absolutely required to make reservations? Is it strongly recommended? Can we just walk into a restaurant and be seated?

    Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  Its always nice to see a fellow Canadian planning a trip to the "Happiest Place on Earth"!  It looks like you are considering the Disney Dining Plan.  This plan offers guests one Table-Service, one Quick-Service meal and one snack per night.  It is a great option for families, as it truly offers the best of both dining worlds.  Families are able to re-connect at a sit down meal every day and still have the convenience of Quick-Service dining as well.

Due to the popularity of many of the Table-Service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort, it is strongly recommended that you make reservations for your Table-Service meals.  Guests are able to walk up and request to be seated, however it is not guaranteed that you will be accommodated.  In my experience, we have been accommodated, as well as told there is no availability for that day at the restaurant.  In terms of Quick-Serve, dining reservations are not required.

I hope you have a magical time on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  Please let me know if you have any other questions while planning your trip, I would be happy to help.
