Hi Gerry,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you brought this question to us!
My husband has used an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) in the parks and we have been pleased with the access he has to rides and attractions. Before you go, I recommend reviewing the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. This list will let you know which attractions will allow you to remain in your wheelchair and which require you to transfer from the wheelchair to ride.
If you will need to rent a wheelchair, you may do so in each theme park. Just be aware that wheelchairs and ECV's are available on a first come, first serve basis. So get to the park early if you need to rent one. Of course, you may bring your own wheelchair or rent one from one of the Featured Providers listed on the
Wheelchair Rentals site. There are also other
Services for Guests with Disabilities. You might find the Guides for Guests with Disabilities especially helpful. If you review the
guide for Magic Kingdom, you will see several tips and suggestions that might help you better navigate the park!
Gerry, remember to also think about minimizing your wait time in line for rides and attractions. Be sure to take advantage of
Fast Pass+ and dining reservations. Using these tools will save you hours of wait time!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
