Hello I'm wanting to plan a weeklong vacation in may 2014 to disneyland. i want it to be around my daughter's 2 year birthday. so my question is what should i plan for spending on events and gift items? any tips on how to make this extra special?

    Hi there Tracy,

Budget questions are honestly pretty difficult to answer, because every guest is different.  It really depends on which events you plan to attend and the type of gifts you plan to buy.  This range can be pretty wide since there are SO many options from which to choose.

A typical "gift" item from one of the stores usually costs anywhere between $15 to $30 and sometimes more, so it's virtually impossible for me to provide an accurate estimate.  The good news is that your little princess will still be eligible for FREE park admission and FREE dining at buffets of if she shares from your plate!  I think she'd really enjoy meeting the beloved Disney characters at a fun and exciting character dining experience such as Goofy's Kitchen or Plaza Inn, among others.  You can even arrange to have a special birthday cake delivered to your table!

Be sure to stop by City Hall to grab a complimentary "Birthday Button" for the little guest of honor!  This will earn her lots of attention and tons of birthday wishes from Cast Members and other guests! She will also look adorable on this special day donning a pair of "it's my birthday" ears personalized with her name and age!  These make for a beautiful keepsake and amazing photo op in front of the castle!

    Best Wishes,
