I'm visiting 11/17, staying off property. I have magic bands that say active from previous visits. I have multiple ones, online doesnt have the picture so I don't know what band is what. How do I tell which is which? Kids want to wear specific ones

    Hi Erin,

Like you, I find myself with numerous MagicBands for each member of the family and sometimes it's a little hard to know which ones are which. When I customize new MagicBands now, I add either a name or initials, followed by a date so that I can keep track more easily. For example, my new passholder MagicBand has WilmaPH17 inside.

If you haven't used names or dates, you can still find out which MagicBand belongs to each family member. Inside the MagicBand, you will see a 12-digit Band ID. (It may be a combination of numbers and letters). You can match that ID to MagicBands in each family member's record in the MagicBands & Cards section of your My Disney Experience account..

Please remember that MagicBands are interchangeable. As long as they are active and linked to My Disney Experience, you can use any one you wish. That's why I keep a set for each member of my family in my Disney tote bag and usually pack a couple of colors for myself, just in case one is misplaced or mood dictates a different color or style on any day.

I hope that helps solve your dilemma, Erin. Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and please check back if you have any other planning questions. We're always happy to assist.

Enjoy your time with your family!
