Hi, I'm using the standard dinning plan on our trip and that means one meal a day will be out of pocket. We plan on using our wristbands as our primary form of payment so will there be a problem with paying for a meal instead of using the credits?

    Hi Erin,

Congratulations on your upcoming Magical vacation in Walt Disney World!  If you have never used MagicBands before, you are in for a real treat!  MagicBands have made vacationing even more magical than ever before.  I love being able to touch my MagicBand for theme park entry, touch to redeem my meal and snack credits, touch to redeem my FastPass+ selections, touch to pay for my souvenirs and food, and touch to unlock my Disney Resort hotel room door.  One perfect little MagicBand does it all!

You will have no problem using your MagicBand to redeem your Disney Dining Plan meal and snack credits and also using it to pay for items not covered or that you wish to purchase separately from your Disney Dining Plan.  Simply inform your server how you would like to pay (using your Disney Dining Plan or charging to your credit card via your MagicBand).  Several times I have done both at the same meal.  For example, I have used my Disney Dining Plan meal credit for my food but paid with my credit card linked to my MagicBand for a specialty beverage not included on the Disney Dining Plan.

If you have any questions while you are dining, don't hesitate to ask the Cast Member.  You will receive a receipt with each transaction so it will be clear to you how you are paying.  Your remaining meal and snack credits will be displayed on your receipt when paying with your Disney Dining Plan.

Thank you for your question Erin, please let us know if we can help any further with your Disney vacation planning.  We are always here to help!

    Blessings,
