    I'm trying to plan an itinerary that will allow us to spend four days at the parks (2 @ WDW, 1 each at Epcott and AK) and one day just exploring the resorts and having dinner at the Polynesian at least once. Trip dates: 4/3/11-4-8. Arrival 9a @ Pop.

    Kimberly,

    Since April dates for Extra Magic Hours are not yet out, what I would recommend you do as a general plan is this;

    • April 3 – Arrival Day / Resort Exploration / Dinner at the Polynesian
    • April 4 – Magic Kingdom
    • April 5 – Animal Kingdom
    • April 6 – Epcot
    • April 7 – Magic Kingdom
    • April 8 – Departure Day

    I really think you should use your arrival day as your resort exploration/Polynesian dinner day. If you were to rush off to a park, at best you are getting there having already missed several hours.

    Instead start your vacation off with some RELAXATION! Settle into your resort and explore there a bit. Find somewhere fun for lunch (I am glad to make recommendations!). Do some more resort exploration, or maybe hit the pool? Shopping at Downtown Disney?

    Then head over early to a dinner at the Polynesian. Get a drink and walk down to the beach. Explore. Dine. Catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the Poly beach after dinner.

    That is how to start your vacation off right!

    Have a magical vacation!
