im trying to early book so I can actually afford my vacation, when will the Star Wars park open ? I know it says fall 2019 I need a better answer so I can book my vacation and my kids not kill me for booking the wrong week !

    Hi Katherine!

Thanks for coming to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to hear that you are planning your vacation in advance because this will definitely help ensure that you are able to enjoy many of the attractions, events and dining experiences on your "must-do" list! You can begin making your dining reservations 180 days in advance of your vacation and you can begin making your FastPass+ reservations 30 days in advance (or 60 days in advance if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel). So you have plenty of time before your trip to come up with the perfect itinerary for your family!

It sounds like your kids are just as excited about the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge as I am! I can't wait to journey to a galaxy far, far away to explore Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. Unfortunately, an exact opening date for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge hasn't yet been announced and we also don't know exactly when they will announce an opening date for this new part of Disney's Hollywood Studios. So I would recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for additional announcements and information about the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Once the dates are announced, if you find that you have already planned your vacation before it will be open, you can always look into changing your vacation dates so your kids can visit Batuu during your trip.

Let us know if you have additional questions as you continue planning your vacation! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
