I'm trying to decide weather or not to pay the extra$ for AKL or just go with french quarters.mind u ive never been to either.only allstar sports.which was surprisingly decent!u dont hear much about that 1.room niceness is what i want most, other recomends?

If the All-Star Sports fit your needs for your last vacation, you will likely be very happy with Port Orleans French Quarter and thrilled with the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

POFQ has nice amenities making this a great value for the moderate price. The riverboat transportation to Downtown Disney is pleasant, convenient and fun. The resort is small enough to be charming but large enough to offer its own food court, pool, arcade, store, etc. If you stay here, have beignets for breakfast. The pool slide is geared towards younger children as it's a very mild slope down a serpent's tongue. Rooms have been undergoing a complete renovation to update linens, furniture, etc. Here, you'll have outdoor corridors as you did at All-Star Sports. We've stayed at POFQ several times. If price is any concern, you won't go wrong choosing this moderate resort over AKL.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is so expertly themed that you'll think you've arrived on safari. It's a hotel atmosphere with indoor corridors and deluxe amenities. The restaurants are superb. The pool area is relaxing and has a decent slide for the young and young-at-heart. Animal viewing from Arusha Rock (or your balcony) adds to the excitement of this resort! I'll never forget waking up to a giraffe eating near our room while my son had his cereal and watched with dreamy eyes!

    Room size in sq ft:
    All-Star Sports 260, POFQ 315, AKL 344
