I'm trying to make a budget. I know we should tip housekeeping, but how much? How much do I tip at sit down meals (18 % , 20 % etc) .. we have the dining plan! Are there any other tips I should know about... ex. shuttlebus drivers etc. ??? Thanks you!

    Hi Mercedes!
Planning a Walt Disney World trip is almost as exciting as going..almost!  You definitely want to factor tipping when budgeting, it can really sneak up on you.  Here are some general guidelines that I use for tipping:

Housekeeping- The standard is usually to tip $1 per person/per day.  My kids help make "mousekeeping" envelopes before we leave with the appropriate tip inside.  It is a time saver to do this before you go, so you won't have to fumble around with cash before starting your day. Remember to leave one everyday because you may not always have the same person.

Table Service Dining-  The standard is 18%-20% and on your bill you will see a suggested amount for gratuity.  Allears.net and wdwinfo.com both have current menus and prices to make it easier to estimate your tip.  If you have six or more in your dining party, the gratuity is automatically 18%.  You can pay the tip with cash, credit/debit card, room charge or even with a Disney gift card.

Luggage- The general rule is $1 per bag, you may want to tip a little more if the bag is big or bulky.  For luggage handling, I tip anyone who helps with my luggage while I am present.

Magical Express/Disney shuttle- If your Magical Express driver helps you with bags or just really shows you exceptional service, then I definitely tip.  Transportation inside of the parks, tipping is not expected.

Please let me know if you have anymore questions!
    Best Wishes!
