I’m trying to book a Cabana in Blizzard Beach jul but they are calling it a Polar Patio which seems to have an umbrella for a roof. Called Disney they said this is all that they have. I’ve saw the full roof cabanas are there 2 types?

Hi there, Margaret! We are so glad to see you back here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Renting a Cabana at the Walt Disney World Resort Water Parks is the perfect way to chill out and take a break from the theme parks during the summer months. Let's dive into some details!

The Polar Patio Cabanas are found at Disney's Blizzard Beach, and they feature a comfortable deck with no roof, but there is plenty of shade and a large umbrella. The Beachcomber Shacks at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, however, sit on a soft sandy beach area and have a full thatched roof overhead. I rented one next to the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool for my family a couple of years ago, and although it was a small splurge, it was the pinnacle of water park heaven! Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance by calling Walt Disney World Recreation at (407) 939-7529.

Both of these premium spaces come with a variety of amenities including cushioned Adirondak furniture, all-day drink mugs, and a locker. I also appreciated having help from a personal attendant who took our lunch orders (separate charges for food apply), brought us fresh towels, and stocked our cooler with ice and bottled water. Our attendant even came over with a first aid kit when my son tripped and skinned his knee. He quickly recovered when she bought over one of those famous Sand Pail Sundaes from Happy Landings Ice Cream (if you go to Blizzard Beach, the Mini Donuts are equally legendary)!

I hope your trip goes swimmingly well, Margaret!
