Hi Natalia! You'll be please to learn you did indeed hear correctly. Ears to the World,
Disney’s Show Translator, a personal translation device, is available in all four Disney theme parks. These units are lightweight
headsets that utilize wireless technology to provide
synchronized narration at several popular theme park attractions in French, German, Japanese, Portuguese or Spanish. Wireless signals throughout key attractions trigger digital
audio recordings in each unit, providing real-time translation.
There is also a similar service for guests with hearing disabilities that uses
wireless units to deliver synchronized text captioning. Both units are
available at Guest Relations locations in each park at no additional
charge.
A fully refundable deposit is required.
In addition to these devices, Walt Disney World also has the following offerings for guests with limited
English fluency:
- International Information Centers at all four theme parks and
Downtown Disney staffed by multilingual cast members who can assist
guests with tickets, currency exchange, itinerary planning and dining
reservations.
- Maps and resort signs employing more than 40 international symbols.
- More than 7,000 multilingual cast members who wear special nametags indicating their fluency in languages other than English.
- Theme park guidemaps printed in French, German, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.
