Hi, Im Travelling to WDW for the first time next year, I've purchased DDP for the stay and have noticed my 13 year old has adult status, does this mean she can not eat from the children's menu?

    Dear Lee,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about the Disney Dining Plan!

The Disney Dining Plan treats all of those guests ages 10 and up as adults in terms of meals. That means that your 13 year-old will be considered an adult when it comes to paying the adult daily rate for the Disney Dining Plan, and will be eligible to order adult meals using her meal credits. That being said, if her palate or preferences are such that she prefers a kid's meal, she can absolutely order one using her credits.

Additionally, if she has a larger appetite but prefers the kid's meal selections, she could request a larger portion of a kid's meal at most Table-Service locations. My oldest son has done that many times with no problem, if he is unable to find something on the adult meal selections that appeals to him. I recommend that you ask your server at the individual location what her options might be.

I hope that helps you to plan your upcoming magical vacation!
