Im traveling October 19-25th and have made reservations at character dinners each night mostly between 5:30-6:40. Do the restaurants run on time for the reservations? If not, what should i expect to wait? Thanks

    Hi Rachel,

The Disney restaurants do usually run on time. Even though most Disney restaurants are top-notch, many guests are eager to get back to their park touring plans, so you don't often run into people lingering over coffee and hogging a table.

In my experience, I'm seated at Disney restaurants within 15 minutes of my reservation time more than 85% of the time. I can't recall a single time where I was seated more than 30 minutes after my reservation. Of course, there's always a small possibility that you might encounter something extremely unusual, but for planning purposes, you can assume that you'll be seated on time.

If you have concerns about a particular meal, try arriving at least 15 minutes early. They'll mark you as "arrived at the restaurant" and put you in the queue to be seated. This way you have a better chance of making it to whatever FastPass+ reservations or other activities you have planned.
