I´m traveling early april with 2-year-old triplets and want to hear any advice on making this trip more enjoyable for them and have the best first experience that they can. We are doing Disney World for 4 days and Disney cruise for 4 days.

    Hi, Joanna!

For any child, the best vacation happens when mommy is happy! Therefore, my best advice for you and your triplets is to plan on lots of rest for everyone and make time for yourself. So many moms and dads have high expectations for vacation only to experience over-scheduling and complete exhaustion. Remember your limitations and don't try to "conquer" every event and activity. Go online and reserve spots for your children for the ship's nursery, and consider times where you might want to focus your attention on one child at a time. Also, schedule some time for you to recharge your batteries whether it's at the spa, enjoying adult dining or clubs or simply enjoying some quiet time alone.

You will have some great family time at Walt Disney World (WDW), and there will be ample opportunity to see and do things on a Disney Cruise Line ship together. My advice is to save character greetings for the cruise since you'll experience unprecedented access to the princesses and all the other characters. For a four-day trip to WDW, you'll need all that time to visit the attractions and events of the parks and resorts, and standing in line for characters will be no fun with toddlers.

If your children can sit through a movie, they may be enchanted by the live shows performed nightly -- chocked full of characters and musical numbers. I recommend that families with small children choose the earlier show time in favor of feeding the kids an early quick-service meal (or room service). Then, they'll be fresh for the show, and they can enjoy playing (or sleeping) in the nursery while the adults enjoy a meal alone or the nightclubs.

I hope this helps you. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
