Christmas on Main Street

I'm thinking of treating my family to a trip to Disney World this Christmas, we have a few birthdays also at that time......there are ten of us, mostly adults and a five year old, please tell me the best option you have for staying inside the park.

    Hi Peggy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am always delighted to greet a fellow North Carolinian!

First, I suggest that you review the resort categories. My family prefers deluxe and deluxe villa resort hotels but I have also stayed in moderate resort hotels and value resort hotels. We prefer the deluxe resort hotels, like Disney's Contemporary Resort because of the incredible amenities (especially the transportation options) but the value resort hotels are also super fun for little ones. If you are on a budget, Disney's Art of Animation Resort family suites might be a good option. These suites can sleep up to six adults and have two bathrooms. The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort also sleep up to six adults, include a kitchen, and might be perfect for your family.

Since you will have so many family members, you could also book a few standard rooms and request adjoining and/or connecting rooms. Whether you book two suites or a few standard rooms, be sure to call 407-939-5277 and ask that your reservations are linked. Also, use My Disney Experience to connect to other family members via the My Family & Friends List. Once everyone is connected via your Family & Friends List, it will be much easier for one person to make advanced dining reservations and Fast Pass+ selections.

Peggy, to celebrate those birthdays, you can order a cake from Cakes at Walt Disney World Resort!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
