I’m thinking about getting a annual pass since we visit from out of state at least 2 times a year. My question is how do the blackout dates work. Do they change throughout the year or am I safe to book a vacation when it says “good to go”

    Hi there, Melissa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m happy to hear you’re interested in enjoying a year full of magical visits to the Disneyland Resort with an Annual Passport! It’s the best investment to make if you want to experience as much theme park fun as possible, and being an Annual Passholder comes with many valuable benefits.

Once you purchase an Annual Passport, you can feel free to plan your vacations based on the published blockout date calendar. If the dates do change, it will be announced months in advance and the changes won’t take effect until after your existing pass expires. Rest assured that you can book your visits for the year without any blockout date adjustments occurring.

Annual Passports are valid for a full year from the day they are activated. If you purchase your Annual Passport online, it will become active on the first day you enter Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park using that pass. Once you become an Annual Passholder, you can sign in or create an account on disneyland.com and then visit Annual Passholders Today to view the details of your Annual Passport.

I hope this information is helpful, Melissa. Please visit us again with any other questions you may have!

    Wishing you magic,
