    Kelly from TX Asked

Hello, I'm from Texas, we are a family of 4 planning a quick trip to Disneyland in July, never have been, always go to WDW, HELP !! What are some tips and tricks that yall do, TIA !!!!

Hi there, Kelly! Yay! I am so thrilled that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time this summer!

The first thing you'll notice is how close the parks, Downtown Disney District, and the Disneyland Resort Hotels are to each other. Getting from place to place requires only a short walk no matter where you are which is why I recommend Park Hopper tickets. You will also discover that the Disneyland Resort still uses the traditional paper FASTPASS Service. FASTPASS tickets can be obtained at distribution kiosks located near the attractions that offer this service. Pay special attention not only to your return time to ride the attraction, but also to the time when you can obtain your next FASTPASS.

To navigate the parks like a pro, download the official Disneyland app. This app is very similar to the My Disney Experience app with which you are familiar. You can look up attraction wait times, FASTPASS return times, make dining reservations, and so much more. Speaking of dining, reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance online or by calling (714) 781-3463. I highly recommend Blue Bayou Restaurant if you are looking for an excellent meal with the best possible ambiance - inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction!

Finally, start your days as early as possible. You can see and do an extraordinary amount of things at the Disneyland Resort in the morning hours, especially if you have access to either of the early admission options.

There is so much more that I can share with you, so please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any additional questions!
