I'm taking my 2yr old to WDW during the first week of October. Will there be Halloween decorations everywhere including the rides?

October is fabulously festive time of year to visit Walt Disney World, Jennifer, though I wouldn't particularly describe it as all decked out in Halloween digs.  The Magic Kingdom is where you'll find all sorts of fall decor and foliage.  Main Street street light posts will be adorned with fall leaves and banners.  So, too, will you find scarecrows and pumpkins dotting the landscape.  Epcot and Hollywood Studios will likely be teeming with fall flowers--marigolds and mums in hues of rust and orange and red.  Unless you attend one of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween parties, that's likely the extent of decorations you'll notice.  On the eves of the Halloween parties, additional decor springs up at Magic Kingdom.  There will be ghosts and special lighting effects and Cast Members wearing bat headbands and special party costumes.  What you won't see is anything gory, or overtly frightening.  All of the Halloween decorations are better described as cutesy and fun.  In short, the decorations lean more towards a fall theme than a Halloween one and it's all very subtle--just enough to leave you with a hankering for a slice of warm pumpkin bread straight from the oven!  Have a great trip.
