I'm taking my 2.5 year old to Disney Land for the first time in a few days. I'm looking for suggestions to make his first visit extra special. Also someone told me I can get him a button announcing it's his first visit. If true, where do I find that?

    Ka Chow Jeanne,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm thrilled for your first visit to The Happiest Place on Earth. Are you at the point where you can't even sleep yet because you are so excited?!

First visits are the best! The Disneyland Resort is all about celebrating, from first visits to birthdays to anniversaries to graduations, you will create memories that will last a lifetime. Be sure to stop by Guest Services and get a free "First Visit" button to wear during your trip; Cast Members that see the button in the parks will be sure to send warm wishes throughout the day.

We like to head over to the Storybook Land Canal Boats or ride Casey Jr. Circus Train; both attractions cover the same magical real estate and are a must-see. Take a flight on Peter Pan's Flight, then head over to "it's a small world" in the far corner of Fantasyland. We love to take a relaxing ride on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, try to get a Fastpass early to World of Color & Radiator Springs Racers as these are both high in demand. The Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! is a family favorite of ours, and be sure to ride The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure; we end up riding these two attraction multiple times.

To make his trip extra special, make a reservation at one of the Disney Character Dining Experiences. At a Character Dining Experience, multiple Disney Characters visit your table to sign autographs, take pictures, and give hugs, while you dine on delicious food; it's a great way to have one-on-one time with your favorite Disney Characters! We love Goofy's Kitchen, but there's a lot to choose from, you can book online or call the Disneyland Dining line to reserve your table at  (714) 781-DINE.

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted time.

    Wishing you magic.
