Hi, I'm taking my two sons to Disney World in September with my disabled parents. We will be there for approx. 5 days. This is my first time going. Where should we go first, eat, visit, etc? I'm not staying on the resort, can I still get a meal plan?

    Hi Andrea!

Congratulations on your upcoming first visit!  Your family will have such a wonderful time exploring Walt Disney World together.  Planning the magic can seem a bit overwhelming at first, but you have come to the right place.  The Disney Parks Moms Panel has a wealth of information for preparing for and enjoying your vacation to the fullest.  We are also always available to answer your questions and concerns.

As of now, the Disney Dining Plan is only available to those staying on property and purchasing a vacation package, but you will still have a great time planning your dining experiences.  I suggest looking through the dining page to see if there are restaurant choices and meal options which appeal to your family.  I can definitely help you with a few recommendations, if needed-- my family loves to "eat around the World." Another item I like to reference for planning is a Walt Disney World crowd calendar. There are several you can find online.  I like to use the one at undercovertourist.com, but any will do. They let you know what crowd levels are predicted for each day and what events are going on.  It can really help in determining which park you should visit when, during your vacation.  Also, make sure you look at the new FastPass+ and start getting an idea of what selections you would like to make ahead of time.

I would love to continue helping you plan your magical adventure, Andrea, so please let me know if you have any specific questions or need any dining or attraction recommendations for your family.  We are here to help you!  I look forward to hearing from you soon, but until then, happy planning!

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren
