I'm taking a flight out of MKE with a layover in ATL, then ATL to MCO. When should i put my magical express luggage tags on?

Hi, Kirk! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

As a fellow Wisconsin resident, M-K-E is also my doorway to M-I-C-K-E-Y! Once I pass security and I am getting all my items back together and putting back on my shoes and Mickey Ears in the 'Recombobulation Area', I am well on my way to my happy place - The Walt Disney World Resort!

If your flight will arrive into Orlando between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM, you may use Disney's Magical Express luggage tags for any bags you will be checking - they are not for any carry-on items you may have. You should put the tags on your luggage before you leave home. Once you arrive at MKE, check those bags either at the curbside check-in or at your airlines checked luggage counter. Once you reach your final destination, Orlando International Airport (MCO), you do not need to visit baggage claim to redeem your luggage. Your bags will be magically transported right to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel and placed in your room.

Keep in mind it may take up to three hours for your bags to arrive. If you need your luggage sooner, (or if your flight is arriving before 5:00 AM or after 10:00 PM) you will need to pick up your luggage yourself once you arrive at MCO. In this situation, do not use the yellow Disney's Magical Express luggage tags on your bags. Once you arrive in Orlando, you will then proceed to baggage claim to pick-up your checked items yourself and then bring those with you to Disney's Magical Express area. Your driver will store these items under the bus for your ride and will retrieve them for you once you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Kirk!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
