I'm taking my family to Disney World for their first time We're also celebrating several occasions during the trip: 5yr anniversary, and husbands b-day. I would like to have some "surprises" during the week. Suggestions?

Hi Amy! Wow, you certainly do have a few things to celebrate during your Disney trip. You won't want to miss out on making each one a special memory.

Your best bet for special surprises can come from the Disney florist. Check out their in room celebration packages at www.disneyflorist.com. These can be pricey but they are an amazing way to surprise someone special when they return to the room after a day in the parks. They also have other items that are less expensive but still special from engraved ears to champagne and strawberries and much more.

Pick a special dining spot for your anniversary. Victoria and Alberts is always the top romantic place to go but there are many more restaurants that can be less expensive with great atmosphere. I love the Yachtsman Steakhouse or Citricos and both welcome children of all ages. To top off an evening you can consider booking a fireworks cruise for either the Magic Kingdom Wishes show or Epcot's Illuminations. This is my favorite special family event at Disney.

Perhaps you can surprise your husband with something just for him on his birthday. Check out the fishing excursions or a round of golf. There are also many super tours offered that he might be interested in. A definite favorite among the men is the Richard Petty Driving Experience but it isn't just for men. You too can go and drive a NASCAR auto around an authentic track or at least cheer your husband on. This is located next to the Magic Kingdom parking lot so it is easy to access. The family can be exploring the Magic Kingdom and you can meet up for lunch in the park.

Make sure you order a cake for the birthday and/or anniversary. You can do something fancy or just use the one that the restaurants have on hand. I am sure both celebrations will be amazing!
