Hi there, I'm sure you get this question a lot, but what is a good age to bring kids to WDW and/or the Disney Cruise? Currently, my children are 1 1/2 and 3 years old. I have heard many people say any age is good or wait until they are about 5.

    Hello Casey!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.   Thanks for stopping by to ask a great question about traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with little ones.  Taking my children to The Most Magical Place On Earth when they were small have been some of my favorite vacations.  I am happy to share my opinion with you, in hopes that this helps you make a decision on when to take your mouseketeers for a visit.

My children's first trips were when they were as small as three months old.  They may not remember these trips, but I surely do.  I have so many adorable pictures and fun memories of them meeting characters and smiling at all the sights, sounds and smells around them.   I think 3 years old is the perfect age to visit.   At three years old the magic is real.   My daughter at three years old could not get over the fact that she was meeting her favorite princess friends face to face.    Another great reason to take your little ones when they are small is that any Guest under the age of three is considered a Guest of Mickey Mouse and will not have to pay to enter the theme parks.   I encourage you to check out the planning for preschool age children and little ones page on the Walt Disney World website.  This page is filled with great information about age appropriate attractions,  hotels themed for little ones and any special offers that are taking place for families with little ones.   This has been a great resource for me and my friends as we have traveled.

I have to say that I wouldn't wait.  Once you let them experience the magic of Walt Disney World they will want to come back again and again.   I say take them while your youngest is still free, and you would save some money on top of making wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.    If you have any other questions or need more information about the best attractions and dining locations for your little ones, please visit us again.  It's so fun to lend a helping hand to fellow Guests.

    Dream as Dreamers Do,
