I'm staying at POR Riverside the end of April. My departure flight isn't until 8:30pm onSunday. Is there a way to get late check-out to enjoy some time a the pool or Disney Springs before we leave? What is the best way to get an upgrade on my room?

    Hi Christie!

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside is such a beautiful and quaint resort. I love exploring this resort and even taking a stroll over to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter if I have some down time. One of my favorite activities is to take the family to the evening campfire and listen to stories.

Late checkouts can be requested by calling “Mousekeeping” (otherwise known as housekeeping) from your in room telephone. It is important to note that late checkouts are not guaranteed and are granted based on availability. In the past I personally have had late checkouts granted but I had to check out of the room by 1:00 P.M. (please note that this time may not be the same for you if your request is granted.) I also have been told that they were not able to accommodate my late check out request. What we do when we have late flights is store our carry-on luggage at Bell Services and keep a small beach bag with us for flip flops, sunscreen, and bathing suits. We change and get cleaned up in the rest rooms before Disney’s Magical Express comes to take us back to the airport. If you are heading to Disney Springs you also can store all of your extra luggage at Bell Services and pick it up before your chariot arrives to take you back home!

If you are hoping to upgrade your Resort Reservation to a different room I suggest contacting the Reservation line and speak to the Cast Member about your request. They will be happy to look for any availability that will best suit your needs!

I hope that you have an Unforgettable time!
