I'm staying off property. Do I need to give my ticket # in order to make a dining reservation? What time can I call when my 180 days beforehand arrives? I know it will be hard to get reservations where I want.

    Hi BreAnna,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question.

Regardless of where you’re choosing to lay your head at night during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort, you don’t need to prove that you have a valid Theme Park Ticket in order to make a Disney dining reservation. You only have to make sure that you DO have an active ticket in order to enter the Park in order to dine at your selected restaurant!

As for the time when you’ll be able to call to make your dining reservation, I would recommend calling at 7 a.m. when your 180-day window opens up. And while you may not be able to get all of the reservations that you want at first, don’t give up! I’ve found that tables at some of the most sought after Walt Disney World Resort restaurants open up in the weeks (and days) leading up to the date during which you’d like to dine. I’ve snagged last-minute reservations at places like California Grill and, yes, even Be Our Guest Restaurant. Persistence pays off, believe me!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
