I’m staying at the art of animation resort , and I need to know how far things are, and the best and quickest way to get there. What is the best, most accurate way to figure out transit schedules or if walking is the best way to get to the fun in Disney ?!

    Hi Jess,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian.

I’ve recently stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and I think you’re going to love it! The whole Resort is so bright and colourful, and what’s not to love about Walt Disney World Resort’s largest pool, the Big Blue Pool!

The best way to get around Walt Disney World Resort is absolutely to use Disney’s Complimentary Resort Transportation. Bus transportation is available from your Resort to every destination throughout the “World”, and buses typically run every 20 minutes or so. There’s no set schedule, so just give yourself plenty of time to get where you’re going (I usually recommend up to an hour to get to a Theme Park from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, though it will probably be quicker than that), and you should be, well, good to go!

If you’re looking to get to your destination a little bit more quickly, another great option would be to use the Minnie Van Service. Although this service is fee-based, it’s a magical and personalized way to get to your destination as well, especially if you’re planning to travel between Walt Disney World Resort Hotels (as there is typically no direct bus transportation between them).

If you have any questions about your transportation options, please don’t hesitate to visit your Lobby Concierge, or come back and see us! We’re happy to help.

    Have a Magical Day,
