Mom and Daughter at Live Show

I'm a single mother wanting to take my 4 year old daughter to Disneyland for the first time (YAY!). Do any of the park hotels offer smaller, even single bed rooms? How can I make our experience amazing without breaking the bank?

Hi there, Samantha! Yay!! I am so, so excited that you are bringing your little one to the Disneyland Resort!

The standard rooms at the Disneyland Resort Hotels usually come with two queen beds or a king bed. I am not aware of any smaller rooms being offered. But, you may want to check out the many Good Neighbor Hotels that are close to the Disneyland Resort. In fact, there is a current offer for a fourth night free when you book a three-night vacation package at a Good Neighbor Hotel!

Some other ideas to keep your trip budget-friendly include bringing in your own snacks and using your own stroller. I still use a stroller for my 4-year-old because she can get tuckered out quickly and it's just faster to move around when she's in the stroller. Plus, there are lots of super fun experiences that you can take advantage of at no extra cost. You daughter might enjoy participating in Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple in Tomorrowland or watching the amazing Frozen - Live at the Hyperion in Disney California Adventure Park. She can also meet all sorts of her favorite characters throughout the parks. For some extra special magic, head to Mickey's Toontown about 20 minutes before it opens (which is usually an hour after the park opens). Often times, Mickey and a few of his pals come out to greet Guests and open Mickey's Toontown for the day!

I have lots more that I can share with you, so please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you may have!
