Hi, I'm a single mom planning a trip to WDW in Nov. 2009 with my 9 and 12 year olds. We have been to WDW before but have never stayed on the property. My kids love water so I am trying to choose the best moderate resort for our family. What do you suggest?

    Hi Leslie!

    Congratulations on your upcoming trip!

I recently had an opportunity to tour the Caribbean Beach resort, and saw the newly-themed pirate rooms.  They are an amazing place to call home while on vacation!  The pool is, in my opinion, the best in the moderate category, and the pirate-ship pool with water canons, slides and waterfalls is awesome.  The resort actually has a total of nine pools, so I think it's a great choice for your water-loving clan!  The resort is located near Epcot, Downtown Disney and Hollywood Studios, and is considered an "Epcot area resort".  Transportation to all of the parks is via bus, that I think you will find very convenient.

SInce your kids love the water, you may want to add a trip to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon to your itinerary.  Both are filled with slides, raft rides and other water attractions that are sure to delight your children.  Typhoon Lagoon has a huge wave pool and a snorkeling reef.  Blizzard Beach has a massive pool as well, and what I think is the best family raft ride ever!

All of the moderate resorts are fantastic, and I honestly don't think you can go wrong at any, but if I had to pick, I'd go with Caribbean Beach after reading about your family!  Have a wonderful vacation.
