I'm sending my parents to Disney for my dad's 50th birthday. What else can I do to make it special, specifically in terms of food. Can I pay for a dinner in advance without them knowing? Get a cake delivered to their dinner table? Thanks!

    Hi Ryne,

How exciting to know you are sending your parents to celebrate your dad's 50th birthday at Walt Disney World Resort. I am sure they will have an amazing time.

Many Guests do not like having to worry about meal budgets. So my best suggestion is to book a Magic Your Way Vacation Package with a Disney Dining Plan. It is the best way to prepay for your meals. Although you can book a package online, you may find it better to speak to a Vacation Planning Specialist at (407) 939-1936 or a travel agent. Be sure to note the celebration on the reservation, and you should also visit Disney Floral & Gifts for some great ideas.

Since you are planning for them, I would strongly recommend you set up some dining reservations as soon as possible. Besides the many flavors available in World Showcase Pavilion in Epcot, a character meal is a must, so be sure to look at Chef Mickey's. And make sure they enjoy the evening shows as VIP, so book a Fantasmic! Dinner Package, Rivers of Light Dining Package or IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party.

One last tip: you can book your dining reservations at the Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page, or give them a call at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Wishing him a Happy Birthday!
