I'm running the Goofy. My husband will be with our two kids ages 3&4. I'm trying to figure out if the chEAR squad would be money well spent for the full marathon. It says there are character visits - can you give me an idea what it's like for a Platinu

Hi Tina!  Congratulations on going for the Goofy!  I am determined to get that medal one day!

Personally, I think the chEAR squad is definitely worth the money.  It would be the perfect spot for your husband to wait with your children for you to get to the finish line.

The best part is the climate-controlled tent they can use at the finish area.  It can be very cold outside that early in the morning, so being warm and cozy inside the tent is really nice.  They will have sofas, tables and chairs, restrooms, televisions, crafting areas, character meetings, and most importantly for my kids....food and drinks.  There will be a hot food buffet set up for them with breakfast foods and plenty of drinks.  There are computers set up for runner tracking, and even live finish line feeds on the televisions.

Here is a link to everything offered with the different chEAR squad packages.   I think that if you can swing the Platinum Package, you (and especially your husband) would find it well worth it.  It's also a great place to plan to meet back up after you finish.  If you purchase the Race Retreat package, you could join them in the tent for some post-race food and drinks.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
