I'm returning to WDW on May 25th for my 6th time. SO EXCITED! I'm confused with Avatar and Pandora. Are they both a ride? Are they the same ride or attraction and they are just named 2 different things?  Which one is more fun?

    Dear Melanie,

Thanks for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about Pandora - The World of AVATAR! Believe me when I say that we are so very excited here at the Moms Panel about the new land scheduled to open May 27, 2017, at Disney's Animal Kingdom!

To be very clear, Pandora - A World of AVATAR, is a land, and within that land there are attractions, sights, and restaurants. Pandora will include two attractions, and both will have FastPass+ selection opportunities. The first is Flight of Passage, which will allow you to board a mountain banshee and "fly" across Pandora. The second is the Na'vi River Journey, which is a slow-moving boat ride down a Pandoran river. Wow! So excited.

The best part about Pandora - A World of AVATAR for me, though, is the landscape itself. You can walk under mountains, and at night, it will transform into a bioluminescent forest. I cannot wait to see what all of this looks like! Hopefully we will all get a chance to try it all this summer!

Have a magical time planning, and look out for FastPass+ opportunities for Pandora - A World of AVATAR, coming soon!
