    Melanie from FL Asked

I'm a FL resident & want to stay at a resort & visit the parks, but also take advantage of the Discovery Disney tickets. Do these have to be booked separately?

    Hi Melanie!

As a fellow Florida resident, I love taking advantage of the Walt Disney World perks that living in the Sunshine State offers.  The current promotion for the Discover Disney tickets is fantastic!

Florida residents are often offered discounts on room-only rates. You can purchase the Florida resident discounted room and the Discover Disney tickets together as a package.  Once you choose a Resort hotel, the next screen will show you the Discover Disney ticket options for a 3 or 4 day ticket and then optional add ons like Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus, which gives you admission to the two water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports or miniature golfing.

If you decide that becoming an Annual Passholder would work for you, you can apply your Discover Disney tickets to the cost of an Annual Pass as long as it's done before the ticket expiration date or while you are there on your last day of your ticket.  Another Florida resident perk is a monthly payment program for annual passes, so your payments are broken up instead of paying the lump sum at one time.  How great is that?

Proof of Florida residency is required when checking in to your Resort hotel as well as picking up your Florida resident park tickets.

Please stop back by if you have any additional questions.

    Have a magical day!
