    Leslie Asked

I'm a FL resident. I'm planning on having the family visit for my niece's 5th bday. Can I use the FL discount for our hotel/tickets? I am the only one who would have a FL ID. Can't find on the website where it says all members of the party must have it.

    Hi Leslie!

It's been my experience that the adults in the group are always asked for valid FL ID, both at the theme parks and the resorts. Last time I went a few weeks back, I was checking our family in at our room, and found that each of us needed to be present and show our FL IDs at the front desk. I had to go find the rest of my family that was already in the gift shop in order to check us in! Kids are usually let in alongside the adults, because if the adults are showing FL ID, it is assumed the children reside with them.

When I've called in to make reservations in the past, I always make it a point to ask about any discounts available during our stay. You should try the same when you go to make your reservations, as there are at times discounts for non-FL residents. In fact, one time I found that a room I wanted on the FL resident discount was no longer available, (since there are a set number of rooms set aside for each discount), but there was another non FL resident discount available that saved me a few dollars on a similar room.

Hope this helps, but feel free to come back to the Moms Panel if we can help you in your planning some more!
