I'm planning to visit Disneyland Dec 16-19 alone with children 2 & 7 yrs. Are there any rides the older one can ride by herself? If we avoid rides with height restrictions, will we be likely to avoid a lot of long lines even tho it is close to Christma

    Hi there Mishelle,

Maneuvering the Disneyland Parks as a solo parent with children might seem a bit tricky, but I can assure you, I've done it many times, and with the right planning, it can be a piece of cake!  Sounds like you're planning ball is well in motion, so good for you!

The policy states that children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult on all attractions, so it looks like your older child will be able to ride solo if necessary!  That being said, many of the attractions have enough room for 3... especially when that 3 is comprised of 2 kids and one adult!

Moving on to your question about queue times, this is tricky because many attractions that do NOT enforce height restrictions are just as popular as those that do, and vice versa.  Generally, the parks do see an increase in traffic due to the holiday, but there's a good chance that the crowds won't be seen in full effect until the that full week leading up to Christmas Day which means you may have a few days of smooth sailing!

    Best of Luck,
