Im planning a visit to AKL during Oct and I was wondering whats the AK like in general with animals and characters during this time of the year compared to MK. Im from Cali and it gets really cold out there so what can I expect the weather to be like.

    Hi Vanessa!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

October is a great month to visit Walt Disney World and the Animal Kingdom.  Disney's Animal Kingdom is a theme park with rides, shows, parades, character meet and greets, restaurants, and live animals!  Imagine the Jungle Cruise, but with live animals instead!  It is a great park with a lot of sights to enjoy!

October is a great month to visit because the weather is still warm, but generally not too hot and humid.  You can usually walk around during the day in just a t-shirt and shorts.  There are also two special events in October that make visiting Walt Disney World then great:  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on select nights in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival.  The crowds are also generally low to medium during the month.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
