Im planning a vacation for myself and my 2 year old daughter. What are some things we can do and what are the best ways to save money for a single mother? Thanks.

  • Hi Meaghan,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are off to a great "money saving" start by planning your visit while your princess is still under the age of three. Children under the age of 3 do not need a Theme Park Ticket for admission into the Parks. At Buffet Dining locations, children under the age of 3 may also eat for free and share their meal from an adult's plate.

I would suggest booking your stay at one of Walt Disney World Value Resorts like Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The Room Rates are more affordable, and the Resort is amazing! Your daughter will love the "larger than life" Disney characters that are showcased throughout the Resort, and you'll have a great time splashing around in the Big Blue Pool and playing at "Squirt's Righteous Reef".

I would also recommend purchasing a few Disney "treats or gifts" ahead of time to have on hand to give to your daughter instead of some of the more expensive souvenirs that are sold in the Parks and Resorts. You'll save quite a bit of money by buying them in advance at a store like Target or Walmart (the Disney Store also has great sales too), and your daughter will be just as happy to have them as she would any merchandise that is sold on property.

I hope these suggestions help! Please stop back by should you have any additional vacation planning questions!

    Magical Wishes,

    Susan
