Hi! I'm planning a trip to WDW at the end of October 2013, stay for about 2 weeks. We have a 2yr who will be turning 3 on our trip. I'm having a hard time picking where to stay. If cost wasn't a factor, but booking a standard room, where would you stay

Hi, Jessie!  Choosing a room among the many at Walt Disney World can really be a challenge.  We just planned a trip a few weeks ago, and even in my own family, there was some serious discussion about where we wanted to stay!

If cost wasn't a factor, and with a little one, you may want to consider a resort on the monorail.  These are deluxe resorts - the Polynesian, the Contemporary, and the Grand Floridian.  I personally love the lush, tropical feel of the Polynesian, and I feel like it's small enough to be easily walkable with tired kids.

If the monorail isn't necessary, you may want to consider Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Also a deluxe resort, it's got animals!  There are a variety of spots inside and outside the resort where you can overlook the savanna and see giraffes, zebras, and other wild animals.  Totally cool for kids of any age.

If we are taking cost into consideration, I cannot imagine a more awesome place to have a vacation if you're a kid than Art of Animation.  With brightly colored decor and themes that reflect some of the most beloved Disney movies, this value resort has an amazing food court and an enormous pool.  This is so much fun!

One more place I wanted to recommend falls in the moderate category.  Port Orleans French Quarter is a smaller, more intimate resort.  It is super easy to get around because of the size, which can be a bonus with a little one.  The pool area is great fun, and transportation isn't as hectic as it can be in a larger resort.

I hope this gives you some things to think about!  Let me know what you're looking for in a hotel, and I can narrow it down!
