Im planning a trip, and I have a question about fast passes. Can I schedule fast passes for the adults and children separately and be able to ride along with the child even though I don't have a fast pass myself? She will be 3 and can't ride solo.

    Hi Janie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I also have a three-year-old, and I love watching the magic come to life in his tiny eyes and mind. I am so excited for you to experience the wonderful world of Disney through your daughter!

Children under the age of seven will need to be accompanied by someone in their party who is at least 14 years or older at all times. This does mean that whoever accompanies the child on rides will also need to select the same attraction as one of their daily allotted FastPass+ reservations. But there are strategic ways to ensure everyone has a fun Disney Day. My family of three will all ride one attraction together, which will use one FastPass+ selection for each of us. My son and husband will experience the next attraction together while I sit out, and then my son and I will ride something else leaving my husband behind. At this point my son will have used his three FastPass+ selections but my husband and I will still each have one selection left. So I'll schedule one thrilling attraction where my son does not meet the minimum height requirement, and my husband will do the same with his third choice. When it's time to ride the big attractions that my husband and I have set up for just ourselves, we'll take advantage of Disney's Rider Switch Service. Rider Switch lets parent B, who waited behind with the child(ren) while parent A had fun on their scheduled FastPass+ ride, experience the same attraction that parent A just rode without standing in the Standby Queue by entering the FastPass+ lane. It's kind of like a bonus FastPass!

I hope this helped with your planning, Janie, and We'll See You Real Soon!
