Hi, I'm planning a trip for 14 people (8 adults & 6 children) for April 2019. I'm trying to figure out if we should rent a house for the week, and book everything seperate. Or if we should book a resort?

    Hi Jessica,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Planning early - check! Packing patience - check!

Planning for a large group can be daunting, but there are several strategies that will help. First, I definitely recommend that you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Doing so will allow you access to complimentary resort transportation (including Disney's Magical Express shuttle service to and from the airport if needed). In addition, you can make your Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance and your dining reservations 180 days in advance (up to 10 days). With a large group, you must make those dining reservations and Fast Pass+ selections as early as possible. Staying offsite, you have to wait until 30 days prior to arrival to make Fast Pass+ selections.

Remember to calculate all additional fees for parking. As you consider your options, take a look at the resort hotel choices. The deluxe and deluxe villa resorts have suites and villas. The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort come with kitchens and sleep up to six adults. Disney's Art of Animation Resort has family suites that sleep up to six adults. Since one suite would not accommodate your entire family, I suggest that you request rooms in close proximity. Although cast members will make every effort to accommodate your request, know that requests cannot be guaranteed. My family had two standard rooms on one trip - we survived!

Jessica, make sure you have a My Disney Experience account to coordinate plans!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
